Calculadora de Cerca de Vinilo

Estime los paneles, postes y el costo de su proyecto de cerca de vinilo.

Understanding Fence Components

Planning a vinyl fence involves a few key parts. The main components are the large fence sections called panels, and the vertical pillars called posts that hold them up. You will also need one post cap for every post.

This calculator estimates the total number of panels and posts you'll need to cover the desired length. It assumes each gate you add replaces a section of fence panels.

Post Types and Planning

Post Type Description
Line Post Has holes on opposite sides to connect two panels in a straight line.
Corner Post Has holes on adjacent sides to create a 90-degree corner.
End Post Has holes on only one side to start or end a line of fencing.
Gate Post A stronger, often reinforced post used to hang the weight of a gate. Comes in pairs (End Posts).

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Measure the total length of your planned fence line in feet.
  2. Select the width of the fence panels you plan to buy (8 ft is most common).
  3. Enter the number of gates you need. Each gate is assumed to be a standard size.
  4. Input the cost for a single panel, a single post, and a single gate kit.
  5. Click "Calculate Fence Materials" to see your estimated list of materials and total cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this calculator tell me how many corner or end posts to buy?

No. It calculates the TOTAL number of posts required. Based on your layout (how many corners and ends you have), you must purchase the specific types of posts from your supplier. For example, if the calculator says you need 11 posts for a simple fence with no corners, you would buy 2 end posts and 9 line posts.

What if my fence line isn't straight?

For a fence with corners, it's best to measure each straight section separately. Run the calculation for each section and add the results together for the most accurate material list.
